How to Find a Match

  1. Select Your Platform: Remember, Nioh 3 does not support crossplay between PlayStation and Steam.
  2. Choose Your Mode:
    • Summon Visitor: Quick help for a single boss (Host uses 1 Ochoko Cup).
    • Expedition: Full mission run with shared life bar (Best for friends).
  3. Filter by Region: To reduce lag, we recommend choosing players within your geographic region.
  4. Set a Secret Word: Coordinate using a 1-8 digit code to ensure you connect with the right person.

Co-op Etiquette (The Warrior's Code)

  • Wait for the Host: Do not rush through the level alone. Let the Host lead the way to Kodamas and treasure.
  • Bow Before Battle: Use a gesture (like a bow or wave) when you arrive to show respect.
  • Share the Loot: If you find a hidden wall (Nurikabe) or a chest, whistle to alert your teammates.
  • Revive Fast: In Expedition mode, prioritize reviving downed teammates before the gauge runs out.

Connection Tips

  • NAT Type: Ensure your console/PC is set to NAT Type 2 (Open) for the best matchmaking experience.
  • Region Lock: Check your in-game "Online Settings" to toggle region locks if you can't find players.
